Not sure where to start with your earring organisation? We’ve got you. Read on for the ultimate guide on earring storage 101, so you never lose track of your favourite Lacey Lou Sparkles.

Why you should organise your earrings

As much as we love jewellery, we’re all guilty of leaving it sitting around. It’s often the last accessory we take off – meaning you find earrings anywhere from your bedside table to your bathroom or makeup bag.

When you have an earring stand, you’re more likely to put your earrings back in their rightful place. What we love about earring organisation is that it makes it easy for you to get an overview of your collection. You can show off your favourite acrylic earrings and see if there are any gaps in your collection. You can wave goodbye to digging around your jewellery box for that one pair of earrings that’s disappeared.

How to organise your earrings

Before you start setting up your hanging earring organiser, you want to look at your collection. Start sorting your earrings out into sections – starting by size. You don’t want your stud earrings to be caught up amongst your layered dangles.

If you find that you have a lot of similar styles, you can get extra organised by laying them out in colour order. Not only does this method make your earrings easier to find, but it also makes your earring storage more aesthetically pleasing.

When you start placing your earrings on the earring stand, make sure they have your own space. You’ll fit the most sets on your earring stand if you’re using stud earrings, but you can expect to get fewer pairs on if you’ve got oversized acrylic earrings.

Large earring storage is a little harder. You want to make sure that you space your acrylic earrings out far enough that they’re not overlapping or scratching each other. Depending on the size of your earrings, this might mean skipping a row or a space between each set.

It may take some trial and error to find the perfect set-up – but it’s worth it!

If you have a mixture of sizes for your acrylic earrings, it’s usually best to go in ascending order by size. Start with your studs and make your way down to your statement drop earrings.
